PM Narendra Modi selected Smriti Irani as minister of human resource and development, education system also falls under this ministry. Smriti Irani is the youngest member of Modi’s new cabinet with the age of 38 year. She does not have a college degree. Education has rarely been the basis for the selection of Indian’s political leaders. Many politicians do not have college degrees.
Take another example of Modi’s cabinet minister of water resources Uma Bharti ended her formal education after fifth grade. Modi cabinet has its fair share of highly education ministers. For example Sushma Swaraj minister of external affairs and Arun Jaitley minister of finance and defence both have law degrees.
